Friday’s (Jan. 19) much-anticipated Salesianum/Delaware Military Academy game is just the start of the weekend’s Delaware Hockey Night Radio slate, with four further games to be aired.
On Saturday evening (Jan. 20), the University of Delaware Division 3 men’s hockey team returns home to face Rutgers-Camden. The No. 10-ranked Blue Hens, who defeated Pitt-Johnstown and split a two-game set with West Virginia on the road last weekend, carry a 13-7-2 record into Saturday’s meeting with the Scarlet Raptors (4-3-0) at Gold Arena in Newark, Del. Coverage on Delaware Hockey Night Radio is slated to begin at 8:15 p.m., with puck drop scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
On Sunday evening (Jan. 21), the Delaware High School Hockey League (DHSHL) will be featured on Delaware Hockey Night Radio, with the Appoquinimink Jaguars (9-1-1) taking on the Hodgson/Caravel Silver Bucs (8-2-0) in the first half of a doubleheader from The Pond Ice Arena in Newark, Del. Air time for the twinbill is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., with Delco I (2-8-0) and DuPont/Conrad (2-6-1) contesting the late game immediately following the first.
The weekend’s programming concludes with the Avon Grove Devils (7-4-0) meeting their former Inter-County Scholastic Hockey League (ICSHL) South Division rivals the Kennett Blue Demons (4-5-0) on Monday (Jan. 22) at The Pond. Air time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
